The movie featured Anushka Shetty in the titular role along with Sonu Sood, Arjan Bajwa and Sayaji Shinde in pivotal roles. The movie revolved around  Arundhati who learns that she looks like her great-grandmother, Jejamma. The battle of her great-grandmother becomes hers when she embarks on a journey of fighting a black magician who wants to kill her. Anushka Shetty gave a stellar performance as Arundhati.

Kanchana 2 (2015)

Produced and directed by Raghava Lawrence, Kanchana 2 is an iconic horror movie in the history of Telugu cinema. It was the third installment in the Muni series after Muni 2: Kanchana. The film featured Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen and Kovai Sarala in lead roles. The story showcased the journey of cameraman Raghava who is petrified of ghosts but obliges when his director Nandini proposes a show on ghosts to revive their TV channel. As they begin making the show, mysterious things start happening. The movie is remembered as a pure entertainer wrapped in horror.

Directed by Vamsikrishna Akella, the movie featured Jagapati Babu, Kalyani and Baby Neha in the lead roles. The spine-chilling movie revolved around the mysterious happenings taking place in the house of Jagapathy Babu whose daughter Neha was caught in a spell. How Jagapathy Babu, an atheist, brings his lovely daughter out of this menace, forms the rest of the story. Baby Neha gave a splendid performance as the possessed girl.

Avunu (2012)

Avunu is another remarkable horror movie made in Telugu. Directed by Ravi Babu, the movie featured Malayalam actress Poorna along with Harshvardhan Rane in the lead roles. The story showed the journey of a newly-wed couple move to a housing community and soon they begin to experience strange occurrences.  A boy who can speak to spirits informs them about one that lives in their house. Avunu is that rare movie that actually manages to do thrill the audience with every shot.

Deyyam (1996)

Made during the during the golden era of horror, Deyyam was the story of a couple who movies into their new farmhouse with their son. Bhaagamathie (2018)

Anushka Shetty’s much-awaited horror film Bhaagamathie looks scary and thrilling. She plays the role of an IAS officer who loves the character played by Unni Mukundan. Their life turns into a nightmare, when some politicians and police officers decide to throw Anushka into a house, which is haunted by Bhaagamathie’s spirit. Bhaagamathie is written and directed by G. Ashok. It looks like the stuff nightmares are made of. We can’t wait for the movie to release!
